DON’T QUIT

My unit tests got over today. My overstressed, overanxious, overburdened and over-tensed mind has now adjusted to being relaxed, calm and composed again. Last night was a pretty stressful night for my tiny brain. It was 10 o’clock, I had to give math test today, I hadn’t touched 2 chapters and I was sleepy. In short, BIG TROUBLE. I felt like running away from life and getting 100% in math. I knew both were not possible. Running away and hoping and praying that I would somehow pass was obviously the easy way out. I thought that would be much better instead of staying up to do math. But then I came across a sheet of paper, which had a poem in it. I read that poem with my sleepy eyes. Then I changed my decision. I heard myself saying “I cannot give up at the last moment”. I washed my face and drank some sprite to reduce the stress and sort of activate myself. I planned out how I was going to utilize my next 2 hours to do the maximum. I did it. I was able to complete everything; I won’t say my preparation was great but it good enough. Anyways so I took the test this morning, it was awesome. I am expecting an A+.
I am guessing that you are now getting curious to know which poem changed my decision. (you might have read it before, but it is a poem worth rereading and remembering for life)
Here it is…

Dont Quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
when the road youre trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but do not quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Dont give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victors cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when youre hardest hit
Its when things seem worst that you must not quit

I end my blog with this beautiful poem. Hope it inspired you to not quit and keep working hard for all the As that you want in life.
